Eaten any frogs today?
In any small business, there are things you don't like doing, coaching and fitness businesses are the same.
The trouble is those things that you don't like doing are the things that will be crucial to the success of your business.
It's the same for everything, the people who consistently do the things others aren't prepared to do will always be the most successful. Most people don't do the things they really should be doing in their business. That's a fact.
Makes sense right?
It's real easy for me to say that, but how do you practically go about being better at doing the things you don't like on a daily basis.
You eat at least two frogs in the morning before you do anything else.
Mark Twain once said that if the first thing you do each morning is to eat a live frog, you can go through the day with the satisfaction of knowing that that is probably the worst thing that is going to happen to you all day long.
The frogs are the things you hate doing your business. You know, the things you had on your list to do today but kept putting them off until "later" then you never end up doing them at all. Tomorrow you'll repeat it all over again. That's what I used to do anyway.
So if you want to give it a try, tomorrow organize yourself to do the two things you least want to do before you do anything else.
Honestly, you won't regret it.
Firstly you'll do two things you've been meaning to do for ages so you'll feel good.
Secondly, you won't spend the whole day dreading the things you hate doing, and all the things you love to do in your job will feel even better than normal.
If you do this every day, your business will be exponentially better off.
Works for me anyway.
