Hey Coach!
If you’ve been here for a while you know I try to help coaches with the business side of their, you know “businesses”.
The main reason I do this is because hardly anyone else is doing it and coaches really, really need help here even if they haven’t quite realized yet.
The other week I was cruising LinkedIn for new customers (as you do) and I spotted a business coach for you guessed it Endurance Coaches.
Her name is Michelle Lake and she’s an endurance coach but also helps other endurance coaches with their businesses.
So I thought I’d introduce you.
If you'd prefer you can listen to the audio version below or on our podcast here, or watch the video version on Youtube here.
She is very well aligned with what I’ve been trying to help coaches with except she takes it to the next level with her programs.
Here’s some of her stuff that resonated with me the most.
Here’s why your content isn’t working
Michelle hits the nail on the head here, coaches know that consistency is the most important part of endurance training and without it, their clients won’t get the results they desire. But when it comes to publishing content they don’t apply the same concepts.
The magic of online coaching isn’t the “Online” part it’s the “Community”
I really like this one, if you go online but skip the community part then you are missing out on a big opportunity. Creating relationships between you and your clients is powerful but when you can facilitate relationships between your clients, that’s a game changer.
Suffer in business like you do in racing
I love the parallels between endurance sport and business, they are so closely aligned and a connection that can really change a coaches mindset toward business. It can allow to coach to draw the same sort of energy they get from racing into their businesses.
You know I love pricing. As Michelle says here, “when they pay they listen” and also “When they pay, they pay attention”
I don't know Michelle personally other than a few interactions on socials and some DM's back and forth but she's 100% worth a follow, and also worth checking out what she has to offer for yourself.
That’s it for now, I just wanted to share some of Michelle’s content and connect you so you have another good source of solid advice about the business of coaching. Head over to Michelle’s Instagram for more content. Give her a follow and a like and tell her I sent you. You can also check out her LinkTree for a few more good links.
